A Secret Army Bunker - Turned into a Museum

Fort de Chillon was a top-secret Swiss army bunker during WW2, with 2000m² of tunnels, command stations, weapons rooms & soldiers' quarters - carved into the mountain.

In 2020 it was declassified and turned into a public museum. But it's not one of those "don't touch" museums - quite the opposite!

At the fort you can see how the soldiers lived and trained, handle their weapons & technology, navigate secret tunnels, play strategic games, and try VR simulations.

1h30 from Geneva, 30 mins from Lausanne.
