Fire-Grilled Flavours from Armenia
Mayrig Bistrot in Carouge is Geneva's first Armenia restaurant recommended by Gault&Millau, and it opened this year after establishing itself in Armenia, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Maldives & more.
Western Armenian cuisine is the cuisine of Armenian populations of the Near East, with a focus on shared dishes, grilled meats, veggies & lot of herbs. Armenia also has humanity's oldest vineyards with a rich winemaking tradition.
Mayrig means "mother" in Armenian, and the name is a homage to the resto's Armenian chef Aline Kamakian who cooks her mum's traditional dishes.
